Remarks
Jarinyanu's art career began in Fitzroy Crossing, in the late 1960s, carving shields, boomerangs and coolamons. In the 1980s he began painting mostly figurative works, using a combination of acrylic paints and natural earth pigments on canvas. He often included Christian stories in his paintings, reflecting his close involvement with the local Junjuwa People's Church of the United Aborigines Mission. His work is held in many major private collections.
