| Description/Remarks | In July 1949 Clancy was appointed to the first council of the New South Wales University of Technology, Kensington (which later became known as University of New South Wales); in 1960 he became Chancellor of the University and held the post until 1970. The Hon. Sir John Sydney James Clancy KBE CMG LLB Hon D Litt (1895-1970) was appointed C.M.G. in 1964 and K.B.E. in 1967. |
