| Description/Remarks | In 1981 from a studio in Port Melbourne Senbergs began the Port Liardet painting series based on Port Melbourne and its history, and the works of its first settler, artist/hotelier Wilbraham Evelyn Liardet (1799-1878). This tetradych etching in black and white depicts: (panel#1, far left) a container ship departing Port Melbourne; (panel#2, inner left) the artist painting a canvas before two cranes; (panel#3, inner right) the canvas on an easel leans towards the Westgate Bridge and expressway; (panel#4 far right) a freeway filled with cars and a power station in the background. Printed by Martin King, Melbourne. |
