| Description/Remarks |
Abstract image (in red and yellow pigments on black ground) is divided into two sections: upper bears circular shapes surrounded by radiating circles; lower section bears horizontal lines. The image depicts the area surrounding Papunga, in which an old woman named Kutunga, travelled and visited rock holes and crossed the sand dunes. This story is related to the Tingari Cycle. (Papunga is west of Mantai Outstation, which is 70kms west of Kintore, NT.) |
