| Description/Remarks |
Image of two large concentric circles defined by radiating cream-coloured lines, on an orange ground.
This painting depicts designs associated with the rockhole site of Marrangulpa, north-east of Jupiter Well. The site is associated with the Maku (witchetty grubs) Tjukurrpa. A woman of the Napangati kinship sub-section camped at the site. While in the area she dug for maku which are found in the roots of the shrub Acacia kempeana. The roundels in this painting depict the rockholes at Marrangulpa. The line work shows the sandhills surrounding the area. (with thanks to Papunya Tula Artists Pty Ltd.) Cat. # NN 0605087 |
